To many established traders, most of these "rules" are just plain common sense.  To some traders, they'll be considered a pain in the ass.  Please read them all before trading with me.  Thanks.

GENERAL TRADING RULES & NOTES

• VCDs:  I spend a moment skimming each VCD I receive for errors / glitches / corruptions / whatever-you-may-call-them.  (Technically, it's called "dynamic video seeking" - where you drag the slider along and the picture updates as you go - Media Player can't do it.)  It's impossible to catch them all, but with a little effort you can weed out a high % of the ones with real problems.  I'd like for other traders to do the same.

• DivX:  Minimum resolution must be ABOVE 352x240, minimum frame rate must be at LEAST 29.97fps, and I don't want anything with the VP3 codec.  You can use applications such as GSpot or AVICodec to easily find all this info.

• No JAV Edits (JAV movies edited to conform to HK3 standards - usually cut to 45 minutes or less and are missing cumshots, blowjobs, are in PAL format, etc.).  This is most of ten seen on older movies.

• No movies with the following watermarks: #Asian-Mania, asialove, or any URL.

• I don't mind if movies are missing begin/end credits.  Some of my VCDs don't have them, and some even have Chinese subtitles.  Most JAV on VCD have been edited from the original movie anyway.  If this is a problem for you, let me know and I'll check movies before sending.

When trading DVDs, I prefer to use Taiyo Yuden discs (tip: Best Buy often has sales on FujiFilm).  If not those, Ritek is also ok.

When trading VCDs or DivX, I prefer to put the MPG/DAT files on DVDs.  For one thing, it's cheaper to mail.  And whatever media you send me movies on, I'll be tossing the discs in the trash anyway as I now store DivX & VCD on hard drives.  For this reason, DVD+RW is the most preferred media, but I'm open to anything.

Packaging:

To keep the discs from scratching, I will put EACH AND EVERY DISC in ITS OWN paper sleeve (envelope).  If you will not be using sleeves, please separate EACH AND EVERY DISC with non-abrasive tissue paper.

I will not write anything on the disc itself. Instead I will place a slip of paper in each sleeve indicating what the disc is. Please do the same. Please DO NOT put post-it notes or stickers directly on the disc - they can peel the coating right off (I did it once!).

If you are in a country which prohibits these movies (Canada included), I will indicate contents by using the product ID. In addition, the package content description will be "Educational Demo Software" with a value of USD$0. There will also be an official-looking letter in the package saying that the initials for each CD are personalized user IDs for your students. All this is done to reduce the risk of the CDs being confiscated by your customs. (This has been put to test twice when packages were opened by customs in Asian countries, and they both arrived at their destinations A-OK!)

You need to be on IRC (#javtrade on irc.accessirc.net), or at least use ICQ.

All files MUST BE RARRED to reduce the chance of corruptions.

If trading strictly VCDs, I trade CD-for-CD.  If trading any DivX, I trade GB-for-GB.  I don't trade DVDs by ftp, sorry.

One CD (~700MB) shouldn't  take more than 24 hours.  Pausing your upload/download for brief periods is understandable, but it should be kept to a minimum.

Don't ask to trade with me while already uploading to a bunch of other people.  For example, I asked a trader why he was downloading from me for 9 hours and not uploading.  He said he was already uploading 4 movies to other people.  That's just plain wrong.

HYBRID (FTP+MAIL) TRADING NOTES

For those with highspeed upstreams (60k/s or better) I can do a hybrid trade where you send to me via ftp, and I mail CDs/DVDs to you.  In this case, I do a 5(ftp)-to-4(mail) ratio, which considering the costs of discs and postage I think is a pretty fair deal.

XBOX DVDs

I just got a modded X-Box, and I need a few games.  I'll trade 1 JAV DVD for 1 game DVD, or 4 JAV VCDs for 1 game DVD.

PRIVATE DVDs

In the early days, PRIVATE released some killer porn.  I'm looking for good copies of any which include Kitty Yung (a.k.a. "Zana Que"), or any other early PRIVATE movie which is hot.

PRO WRESTLING DVDs

I'm also looking for ECW DVDs.  Other promotions might interest me, email me with what you have to offer.  I'll trade 4 JAV VCDs per DVD copy, 1 JAV DVD copy per 1 wrestling DVD copy, or 2 DVD copies (JAV and/or wrestling) per 1 ECW DVD original.  If at all interested, email me your list along what sort of DVDs you're looking for.

For those who may be interested, I'll trade 4 VCDs per DVD.

Lactation VCDs/DVDs

I'll trade 3-for-1.

NOTES ABOUT LIST

There are around 3800 coverscans online. A few JAV covers I just haven't been able to find.  I haven't collected covers for most non-JAVs, but if you need to see them, do a quick search on Google - most are easily found.
 

Yes, these covers are small. They're for reference only.  If we trade, I can provide hi-res images.
 

"Subtitles" is a new field (as of July 2002), so I might not have caught them for all my older titles.

If you think there's too much info, just remove or shrink the columns you don't want to see. If you only want to see VCDs or DVDs, use the dropdown list box for the "Format" column.  This isn't rocket science!
